India Infoline has recommended buy rating on Garware Offshore with a targetof Rs 318, an upside of 31.5%, as per their report on November 30, 2007.
"Garware Offshore Services, GOSL is adding four vessels to its fleet in CY08and one in CY09. The full year benefit of the vessels to be delivered in2008, would reflect in CY09 financials. We expect GOSL to register a CAGR of57.6% in revenues and 64% in PAT during CY06-CY09. The stock at CMP of Rs242 is available at 8.4x CY09 earnings. With long term contracts tied up formost of the vessels, we believe there exists high degree of visibility forfuture revenue growth. At 11x CY09E earnings of Rs 28.9, the target priceworks out to Rs 318, an upside of 31.5%. We recommend a BUY." according toIndia Infoline research report.

What are Participatory notes? (P-Notes)

Participatory notes (p-notes) are instruments used by foreign funds / investors who are not registered with SEBI but are interested in taking exposure to Indian securities. The associates of India-based foreign brokerages generally issue p-notes overseas.

Institutional investors that do not wish to register with SEBI but would like to take exposure in Indian securities also use the pnotes. Brokers buy or sell securities on behalf of their clients on their proprietary account and issue such notes in favour of such foreign investors.

P-note investors place their order through brokerage houses. The brokerage houses then repatriate the dividends and capital gains back to these entities. Participatory notes are popular because they provide a high degree of anonymity, which enables certain entities to carry out their operations without disclosing their identity and that is why regulators are not comfortable with huge funds coming in via the p-notes route.

IFCI reported Rs 497 crs net for Q2 as against Rs 246 crs for Q1 on equity of Rs 638 crs Full year expected Rs 2470 crs EPS Rs 39 fair value on PE of 7 is Rs 273 and at cmp 85 3 times upside is still left. IFCI also entered realty biz on its own. Acquired land at common wealth for Rs 100 crs which will be an Rs 500 crs project with.

We recommend buy on every dip, target around 145 in six months.
